Eligible Afghan & Ukrainian refugees get free English, work skills, and other courses and coaching in their language to help them get started in the U.S. Welcome Start activity hours count toward CalWORKs, CalFresh E&T,
and RCA employment program requirements.
Welcome Start is provided by the California Department of Social Services, Refugee Program Bureau, and Immigrant Integration - Powered by Cell-Ed.
